REGISTRATION & FORMS

REGISTRATION

Why do you need to register for GOYA?

St. George is required to have your GOYAN’s registration on record in order for them to participate in events.  Registration includes medical history, emergency treatment medical release, participation requirements, signing off on required documents, and more.  If registration has not been completed your GOYAN will not be able to participate.  Additionally registration is required for your GOYAN’s participation to be recognized by the Archdiocese.

Registration is required at the beginning of each year for each individual GOYAN. Registration does not carry over from one year to the next. Registration cannot be completed for a family. Each GOYAN must be registered individually.

How do you register for GOYA?

Registration is quick & easy using the online registration form!  Click here for the 2023-2024 Registration Form

Where are the forms associated with each registration?

Parents and GOYANs must initial the Registration Form (sign off section is at the end) confirming that they have READ and AGREE to the terms and conditions of being an active GOYAN at St. George.

Links to those forms can be found here:

This must be signed, notarized, and returned to a GOYA Advisor no later than September 30 of the GOYAN’s first year in order to participate in GOYA events. We will try to have a notary available at the Kick Off Party.  If we are unable to schedule a notary that evening or if you are unable to attend the Kick Off Party it is your responsibility to complete the General Liability form including the notarization. This form only needs to be completed one time and will cover the GOYAN’s involvement through senior year.

STEWARDSHIP

St. George GOYA does not require a registration fee to be a member of GOYA. GOYANs and GOYA families work together to fundraise throughout the year. The money raised helps to subsidize participation costs at events such as dances and outings.

Although we do not require a registration fee, we also teach our GOYANs the importance of committing to their faith and their church through time, talent, and treasure. Just as we commit to our faith as stewards of the church, we ask that the our youth become Stewards of GOYA. GOYA Stewardship should come from the GOYAN, whether that is from their allowance or saved money – it is their contribution of treasure. It is not meant to be a donation by the parents on behalf of their GOYANs. Stewardship can be any amount. It is the act of giving that is being taught & encouraged.

Kindly have your GOYAN give their Stewardship Donation to any GOYA Advisor at the Kick Off Party or drop it off at the Church Office by September 30th.
